In just about an hour drive from Pyeongtaek is a beautiful temple complex in Yongin—Waujeongsa Temple. When you first arrive you see the large golden buddha head with lush green mountains in the background. You can stroll thru the complex in less than two hours and see other golden buddhas (seated and reclining), lots of stone statues, colorful lanterns, and pagodas. It was very picturesque but not crowded. On a day when the air quality is good, a visit to this temple is a great day trip!
