Jeju Island Tea Museum

A very popular tourist attraction and ‘Instagram worthy’ location on Jeju Island is the Osulloc Tea Museum. Opened in 2001, the museum includes, a gift shop, a tea roastery, a cafe, a tea house, and an observatory where you can get an amazing view overlooking the Seokwang tea fields. In the gift shop you can learn about the different varieties of teas and even do some taste-testing. They have teas sampler packs and bulk options that make great gifts for any budget. They also have a cafe, where I indulged in some of the sweet treats that are specialties for the region. One item featuring the famous Jeju tangerine was a frozen slushie with vanilla ice cream. I also had a holy trinity of green tea items showcasing Osulloc tea, a green tea latte, green tea ice cream, and a green tea cake roll. Funny enough, I don’t even like green tea! But luckily, each of these green tea snacks tasted better than I anticipated, dare I even say…good?

After gorging on all these delicacies, I walked around the museum grounds and visited the Innisfree Jeju House next door. The Innisfree Jeju House is not just an Innisfree store where you can buy their products (many which use ingredients sourced from Jeju Island), but it also has a cafe, and soap making station (neither of which I took advantage of).

To finish up my day of ‘Tea Adventures’ in true tourist fashion, I took an obligatory stroll through the tea fields. I posed for the camera, avoided all snakes, then posted it all to Instagram of course.
