Tantra Tokyo

If you know much about Tokyo, you’re probably aware of the reputation of the Roppongi area. During the day it is upscale, but by night it’s a different story. The area is filled with restaurants, bars, and clubs. The nightlife here is a draw for tourists, but with tourists come the opportunity for trouble (i.e. scams). Japan is considered a safe country however so if you’re aware of these things, visiting Roppongi can still be a fun experience. 

When I learned about a burlesque style show in Tokyo, I wasn’t too surprised to find out that it was in Roppongi. They offer ‘dinner and a show’ specials which had a set course menu for two with a bottle of champagne and included the performances.  I’m not sure if this place is considered a ‘strip club’ in Japan, but there was no nudity in the show. The performers did showcase some pretty impressive pole dancing skills and were actually wearing more than you’d see on an American beach (and definitely more than on a European beach!)
