Blind Alley Raccoon Cafe

As I continue my quest for the best theme cafés, I found another contender—The Blind Alley Raccoon Café in Seoul, South Korea. Not only did they have the obvious ‘raccoons’ at the café, they also had a Corgi and two pigs! I personally have a soft spot for pigs since I had a pet pot bellied pig for a while when I was a kid growing up in Indiana. (R.I.P. Mable, I hope you are eating all the potatoes you want in pig heaven!)

This café was great because it was clean, not crowded, and the staff was super friendly. The staff were supervising the interactions with the animals and the customers at all times and were definitely looking out for the best interest of all of the critters, which is important to me with any animal café that I visit. The area where the raccoons were kept had lots of places for them to hide out, things to climb on, windows to look out, and litter boxes to use. Yes that’s right, they’re litter box trained which I didn’t know was a thing, but really what do I even know about raccoons? Not much other than how cute they are when they wash their little hands (so nothing of importance obviously).

The pigs were also a joy to hang out with. There’s nothing quite like a wet pig snout eating cheerios out of the palm of your hand to really bring a smile to your face, trust me! They keep the pigs out of the raccoon area, well, try to anyways, but those pigs are pretty pushy. I can’t help but wonder who terrorizes who when they get together? Who reigns supreme in the animal café kingdom between two raccoons and two pigs?

If you’re a fan pigs or raccoons, in addition to corgis (because I assume EVERYONE likes corgis), you can follow the raccoon_cafe_blind_alley on Instagram like I do to see super cute daily videos and photos of all the animals. It’s the next best thing to hanging out with them in person!
